Former Sony Interactive Entertainment America president and CEO Shawn Layden has announced that he has joined Tencent Games as a strategic advisor.
In a LinkedIn update, Layden stated: “I am delighted to share that I have joined Tencent Games as a strategic advisor. In this new role, I will further deepen my activities and commitments in this sector, to which I have dedicated most of my career. I hope to advise, help and support the team at Tencent in this process.”
Layden continued: “We are living a groundbreaking moment in the gaming and interactive entertainment industry. There are many possible paths ahead, but only a few are profound, expansive, inclusive, educational, inspiring or sustainable. I am excited to continue this journey of discovery and thank Tencent for this opportunity.”
