The game’s promo:
The planet has only one city left, and there are only robots living here right now. Protected by a glass dome, Endeavor rises above the once-vibrant territory, and worker robots do their best to survive it. To sustain it, every robot has to do its job perfectly, and all the defects found are destroyed.
A single robot worker who was thrown into the scrapyard for being laid to rest is in search of self-repair. But the city now sees this loyal worker as a threat, so all the robots and defenses that protected Endeavor turned against their former colleagues. With its unique ability to control the city’s various machines, including all the robots in its path, this little Robot is on a mission to repair itself and find intelligent life.
The moment seems to be that there is no smart life left. There are robots programmed to keep the city nice and clean just for people who can’t be found anywhere.
you are on your own
A long time ago, people disappeared leaving only the robots they created. Now the world they left behind is falling apart. Is there anyone here to help you fix this and discover what happened to the people who lived here in the past?
The tools you have in your hands
The little robot alone in the world has a hidden trump card: the ability to take control of other machines and control them. Use them however you like: you can get them to fight each other, explore unattainable places, solve puzzles or simply accompany you on your journey. There are dozens of robots with different abilities to explore.
Retro Machina’s art style is based on images from the science fiction books of the twentieth century. Set in the retro futuristic universe, the game is inspired by the work of legendary people such as Jacque Fresco, one of the world’s most famous futurists.
