Disney+;s original content library continues to evolve rapidly. Percy Jackson, who has previously been adapted for the screen, will appear as a series this time. Riordan’s latest update reveals the number of episodes of the first season.
RickRiordan.com announced that the first season will consist of eight episodes. Riordan also mentioned that various scripts have been written for the series, and said that the script for the first four episodes is ready. The series will be filmed in Vancouver and British Columbia. Riordan’s latest reports suggest that the lead roles are Percy, Grover and Annabeth are about to be selected.
The Disney front has not yet announced a release date. However, the leading roles are expected in a week or two. From this point on, it looks like we’re going to learn more about Olympus’ most famous lightning thief.
