Nintendo has won a major victory in its lawsuit against Team-Xecuter’s 2020 arrested member Gary Bowser.
Team-Xecuter, known for producing mod chips, hit the jackpot with the SX OS because it was used to run pirated games by installing custom firmware on the Nintendo Switch. Team-Xecuter is thought to have made tens of millions of dollars from SX OS sales. Bowser, a member of the group, was one of the people in charge of the web pages’ operations and earned between $500 and $1,000 a month. However, he was allowed to receive advertising revenues, bringing his total to about $320,000.
However, the court fined Gary Bowser, 52, many times what he had obtained for his work and ordered Nintendo to pay $4.5 million in damages. He also faces 10 years in prison, a maximum of five years for each crime, as he is convicted on both charges.
That’s not all Bowser’s problem is because there’s another lawsuit filed against him by Nintendo. You see, Bowser, also known as GaryOPA, has become a scapegoat.
