Boss Fight Entertainment’s vice president Amir Rahimi announced Netflix’s acquisition of Boss Fight Entertainment.
The US-based studio, known for its free-to-play mobile game Dungeon Boss, was founded in 2013 and will join Netflix’s in-house development team.
Boss Fight Entertainment will continue to operate independently of its three studios in Allen, Austin and Seattle.
CEO David Rippy, co-COOs Bill Jackson and Scott Winsett said in a statement: “Boss Fight’s mission is to provide our players with simple, beautiful and fun gaming experiences wherever they want to play. Netflix’s offering of ad-free games allows game developers like us to focus on playing enjoyable games without worrying about making money.”
