Fortnite, the famous battle royale game developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly, is launching an important fundraiser for Ukraine. Fortnite players use V-Bucks to buy things like clothes, pickaxes, skins, phrases, and battle tickets. After Epic Games announced that “all proceeds from V-Bucks will be donated to Ukraine,”the $70 million V-Buck sale took place.
Fortnite players love micropayments
He promised that the developer would donate all proceeds from Fortnite to Ukraine in the first two weeks of this season. So the players didn’t stand idly by and put it in their pockets to help with micropayments that wouldn’t push them too hard, so maybe they shouldn’t say Micro. There have been so many purchases by Fortnite players that it’s worth millions of dollars. These figures include all revenues on PC through Epic Store and Xbox, as well as revenues from PlayStation Store and Switch. (PlayStation Store and Nintendo are cutting sales by 30%.)
After reaching the 70 million figure, Epic Games said in a statement, “Together we have raised $70 million in humanitarian funds for Ukraine. Congratulations to everyone and Xbox and thank you for joining this effort!” he said.
This funding for civilians in Ukraine, both displaced from their homes and caught in the middle of the war, is admirable.
