Todd Howard, the game director and executive producer of Bethesda Game Studios, answered questions for Starfield and gave a few details about the space-themed role-playing game.
Howard noted that the game was inspired by classic RPGs like Sundog and Traveller. He also said that the game will have a science fiction theme, approaching science and logic as accurately as possible. He explained that many scientific researches were also carried out to reflect the realism of the content of the game.
Howard added: “We work hard to make sure the game is realistic and reflects the right things. We know about fuel and gravity. We also read scientific articles about quantum physics and other space sciences.
There are more than 250,000 dialogues in the game, up from 110,000 in Fallout 4 and over 60,000 in Skyrim.”
Howard confirmed that players can remove negative traits from their characters by completing missions.
Starfield will debut for Xbox Series X|S and PC in the first half of 2023. It will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass service.
