Dreams of being added to Elden Ring Xbox Gamepass or Cloud Gaming have been a lie for now. After a Twiter user attracted attention, it was claimed that GTA 5, Elden Ring and more could come to Xbox Cloud Gaming. However, Microsoft has stated that this is due to a bug and that the error has been fixed.
Elden Ring Xbox Gamepass hopes dashed for now
Tom Warren of The Verge said:
“The fact that Elden Ring, GTA 5 and Soul Hackers 2 appear to be playable on Xbox Cloud Gaming or Xbox Game Pass is just a bug, according to Microsoft’s statement, and this bug has been fixed.”
The aforementioned games were included in the Xbox Cloud Gaming system with their logos, and even Xbox Gamepass ads appeared on the games’ own pages. A Microsoft official said that they are aware of the bug that caused these games to appear as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate by mistake and that they have fixed the error. Madden NFL 23 came to Xbox Gamepass earlier after a similar leak, meaning it’s normal for players to get excited.
However, this does not mean that the three games will not come to Gamepass in the future. Another point that excited the players was that with Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which was still in the testing phase, players had the chance to play system-tiring games such as Elden Ring and GTA 5 more comfortably.
