Developer Echtra Games has put an end to its work on the action role-playing game Torchlight 3.
Echtra Games has been acquired by Zynga in recent months, and as a result of this acquisition, Echtra Games will now turn to new projects.
Torchlight 3 has been returned to IP owner Perfect World Entertainment, and it’s not yet clear how Perfect World Entertainment will proceed for Torchlight 3 from now on.
Echtra Games released the latest spring update for Torchlight 3, which, according to the stated, fixed numerous bugs and brought performance improvements.
Echtra Games was founded in 2016 by Max Schaefer, who worked on the first two Diablo games and all games in the Torchlight series, and so far they have only released Torchlight 3.
Echtra Games will help bring some of Zynga’s mobile marks to PC with consoles and work with Zynga studio NaturalMotion on a new cross-platfrom RPG that has not yet been announced.
