Techland recently saidit would release a developer update for Dying Light 2 . It was exciting for fans to hear it from the company, which hasn’t said anything about the game in a long time. Some of us were starting to give up on the game, especially when there were reports of bad business at the company recently. While the news now hints at the game’s release date, it’s not entirely satisfactory.
Dying Light 2 developer update
Developer Techland didn’t really clarify a lot of things with a video it released yesterday. First, everyone on the team stood in front of the screen and read some comments written by impatient fans. In one comment, one commenter likened the fate of the game to Dead Island 2,just as we’re all slowly beginning to think. After all the comments, they went on camera as a team and said:
“Okay, everybody, we got the message. We understand that you’re curious about the game because you want Dying Light 2 to be as good as your dreams. Yes, maybe you’ve run out of patience because you’ve been waiting a long time for news and updates from this game.”
“Dying Light 2 is a complex and massive project, we needed some time to make it fit for our vision. Everyone here works with their hearts in order to create a game that you can play for months. We’ll be ready to start talking about Dying Light 2 very soon.”
“The whole team needs what motivates us, your confidence and support, especially at a time when the conditions are difficult for everyone. Regardless of how you express your feelings, we are proud to have loyal fans like you.”
Following these announcements from the team, new gameplay footage for the game was also released. The game was then givena year for the release date, which we went further than uncertainty and said “has it been postponed or we don’t know about it?” The game is expected to be released later this year. There’s no reprieve yet. You can watch gameplay footage from the video above. So what do you guys think of techland and the future of the Dying Light series?
