Ubisoft and the Assassin’s Creed community celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series by highlighting select games each week. It is believed that this celebration will end with a surprise development in September. Players believe that this surprise will be attributed to one of the projects such as AC1 Remake, Assassin’s Creed Nexus, Assassin’s Creed Infinity or Assassin’s Creed Rift .
Will the Assassin’s Creed Mentors Guild program be shut down after 2 weeks?
Between these celebrations, a surprising announcement was made by fans that the Assassin’s Creed Mentors Guild program would be shut down. The program was founded in 2017 to focus on leaders within the Assassin’s Creed community. The elected leaders received Ubisoft support in a variety of ways. Recently, several Assassin’s Creed social media pages announced that the program would close on July 13. Also, the pages did not explain the reason for the closure of the program.

The reason why Ubisoft is shutting down the Mentors Guild is thought to be to focus on the Star Players program. In addition to being more comprehensive than the Mentors Guilde, the Star Players program is chosen from people who have made great strides in their communities of players who have made a positive impact on their fanbase. Currently, Ubisoft is thought to be conducting an election process for members of the Assassin’s Creed Mentors Guild. An email was sent to members, and members who did not sign their email were expelled from the program.
After all, the program has been around for five years and according to the announcement the program is still two weeks away from closing. Ubisoft gives players little time to hopefully transition into the AC community and stay connected with their leaders.
