Team Ninja’s game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which is under construction, will not have a difficulty option. The game will be at an equal distance to each player. This means that all players will go through difficult roads at the same level and will fight the same battles.
No easy play for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will not contain any difficulty levels like Team Ninja’s previous game, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. But instead, his earlier work will be inspired by content like Nioh and Souls. The producer of the game made a series of explanations and explained to the players in detail why there would be no difficulty options in the game.
Masaaki Yamagiwa, the game’s producer, said in an interview, “We think a single difficulty level is good for everyone to have the same experience of overcoming a really strong barrier and for all of them to have the same sense of success that I did.” In another interview, he said, “Wo Long is by no means an easy game, but we are working to give players the freedom and strength they need to play as much as they want, to overcome obstacles in their own way.”
Yamagiwa talks about a morale system that makes you stronger as you get higher in the game. But you can also “level up your character like a traditional action RPG”, which is actually embellished with the game Demon’s Souls’ World Tactency. If you have a hard time in the game, it has a multiplayer mode so you can summon up to two friends to defeat the bosses.

Team Ninja is now slowly returning to a single difficulty level. Just like Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s DLC and Nioh, which is only played at the highest difficulty level. For those who play the game in easier options, this situation will of course be a little annoying.
