EA Play Live, which EA organizes annually as part of E3, will not appear this year. EA officials also explained the reasons behind their decision, IGN reported. Of course, the fact that E3 will be held entirely digitally this year will be one of the factors behind this decision.
Underlining that EA Play is an opportunity to merge with players, officials say they love the organization just as much as the players. EA stated that many of the projects they have prepared for this year will not “catch up” with EA Play and stressed that it will announce new projects that will excite everyone during the year. So we’ll be able to see new EA games with different events throughout the year.
The summer months, when we usually come across a lot of new game announcements, are going to break our hearts once again. The gaming industry, which has been changing since the pandemic, has to pass with three cylinders in the summer this year.
Unlike E3, Gamescom is returning this year with hybrid events. Summer Games Fest, organised by Geoff Keighley, will be one of the events to be held later this year.
