Immersive Sim is one of the most popular genres and Spector is one of the piraeums of this business. Among the most successful examples of the genre, we can count names such as Thief, Thief 2, System Shock, System Shock 2, Deux Ex, Dishonored.
Spector, the famous maker of most immersive sim games, confirmed that it is working on a brand new game. The Otherside studio, which he joined in 2016, is developing “an immersive sim game based on an entirely new IP.”
“Those who are fans of my work already know what kind of game to expect, it’s an immersive world and it’s a yellowing story that will directly affect players with their choices and style of play,” Spector said.
It’s hardly a success for Otherside’s games so far. In 2016, the studio released Underworld Overlord for Android, and released its first regular game, Underworld Ascendant, in 2018. If they use the lessons they learned from the first game in these new games and take full advantage of Spector’s experience, we can see a good game from them this time.
Otherside also announced that they have appointed Jeff Goodsill as managing director. Goodsill, whose career includes nascar racing, Titan Quest, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and Age of Empires 2, will also oversee the construction of Spector’s new game.
