The new horror game Pacific Drive is coming next year
Sony has released a trailer for Pacific Drive, the new survival and horror game, at the State of Play event. The game is currently in development for PlayStarion 5 and will be released next year. Pacific Drive is being developed by Ironwood Studios, a studio based in Seattle, Washington. The team consists of highly experienced people. The team members are developers who have worked on everything from Call of Duty to Sly Cooper and even Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Pacific Drive is Ironwood’s first game, and Sony’s choice to showcase the game at State of Play shows the company’s confidence in its project. In the game, which is known as a first-person driving survival game, players explore the Olympic Exclusion Zone. This is a section of the Pacific Northwest that was seized by the United States and sealed off with walls after government experiments led to “severe radiation, environmental collapse, and supernatural horrors.”

Player characters in Pacific Drive manage to get between the walls and begin to explore the area to see if there is any truth in the spooky legends that surround them. When players hit the road, the roads change, they loot vehicles during the journey, and they can upgrade and repair them using the vehicles they loot.
Pacific Drive is being developed by Ironwood Studios for PlayStation 5 and is expected to be released in 2023.
