Grounded recently debuted as its full version thanks to the hard work of developer Obsidian Entertainment. The game shows players survive by evolving in a backyard filled with adventure and danger at every turn. As a kind of open world, players have the freedom to fight Grounded as they see fit.
Grounded first debuted as Early Access on July 28, 2020. It then debuted as a full version on September 27 for the PC through the Xbox Series, Xbox One, Steam, and Microsoft Store. According to recent announcements, an animated series is planned for the Grounded game. According to Deadline, Star Wars: Clone Wars is being adapted into an animated TV series by writer Brent Friedman. The animated series, which will take place in the same universe as the game, will be about four friends who are smaller than anything else with next-generation technology. The adaptation is being done in collaboration with Waterproof Studios/SC Productions, Kinetic Media and Bardel Entertainment. Friedman is working with Brien Goodrich on the story.
Grounded reached 10 million players 8 months after its release as Early Access in July 2020.
They can both buy and gain unique advantages called mutations that enhance and dynamically change the gaming experience. In this list, we have compiled the Best Mutations in the Grounded Game for you. Here is our list:
1) Fresh Defense
Every player needs resistance to the dangers of Grounded, so something like Fresh Defense will usually be more beneficial to the average player.
This mutation reduces the rate of sizzling and also increases resistance to both gas and combustion damage. Mint fragments can be found by the player, and by consuming them, players unlock the stages of the Fresh Defense mutation. The first stage requires the consumption of one piece, in the second stage five must be eaten, and in the final stage the player must consume ten in total.
2) Mithridatism
Mithridatism may sound like a weird, fun word coined by Obsidian Entertainment in Grounded, but it’s actually mentioned in the Merriam-Webster dictionary. It is said that by gradually taking small but increasing doses of the substance in question, it describes tolerance to poison.
Of course, this mutation increases the player’s resistance to poison by up to 75%, but it’s not easy. Players will need to kill ten Wolf Spiders to reach the full effect, and this is a pretty difficult achievement. For those who want to reach the first stage, which provides 25% resistance, a single Wolf Spiders will have to be killed in Grounded.
3) Natural Explorer
Walking around the backyard in Grounded is as exciting as it sparks fear. For each place of interest, there is usually a fierce and volatile creature that wants to tie the player at any opportunity. The sprint is useful in both cases as it makes it easier for the player to escape from danger, but it also speeds up their running towards something that catches their eye.
The Natural Explorer mutation increases the player’s sprint speed in three different stages and amounts. Everything is unlocked by exploring a certain amount of landmarks around the map.
4) Buff Lungs
Endurance in games is an interesting mechanic. It’s a challenge that makes the gameplay more interesting, and it can also really upset players who feel it hinders the experience. Luckily, there’s a way to reduce that stamina in Grounded.
As the name suggests, Buff Lungs increases the player’s stamina by 50 points and costs 3,000 research points to obtain. In addition to the money, players need to unlock this mutation to buy Red Anthill BURG. They will also need to find the L chip.
5) Coup de Grass
Coup De Grass is a mutation that is a named reference to the term coup de grâce, which represents a fatal blow to something. The mutation in Grounded increases the player’s chances of delivering a critical hit to an enemy, which can often serve as a blow.
The first stage of this mutation increases the chance of critical hitting by 10%, and the second stage increases it by 25%. To unlock both stages, the player will first need to find the 4 Leaf Clover icon. This will allow the player to travel to the end of the Minotaur Labyrinth.
6) Juicy
Grounded quickly grabs players’ attention as the desire to explore and understand what’s going on in the world unfolds. The game also has survival elements.
Making sure the player character is hydrated can be annoying, but it helps as the Juicy mutation causes the thirst bar to run out 50% slower than normal. Unlocking the Juicy mutation is quite simple as it is all it takes for the player to discover all five juice boxes located in the backyard.
7) Parry Master
Some of the best advantages in games are those that reward players for moments that require high skill. The Parry Master mutation gives the player endurance provided that they make a perfect block.
The amount returned increases and is a reflection of reaching each upgrade stage.
The first stage opens for those who perform 100 perfectly timed dodge blocks, the second after the player has fended off 20 attacks perfectly, the second with 60 perfect dodges, and the third (final stage).
8) Meat Shield
Health is the true lifeblood at Grounded. The Meat Shield mutation increases player health by 30 points, which, in addition to armor, can really determine the consequences of conflicts with volatile creatures in the backyard.
To use this mutation, players have to play it BURG, who lives in the Oak Lab inside the giant oak tree. They will have to buy from the type of robot called L. Meat Shield costs 3,000 research points.
