Take-Two Interactive has aimed at targeting mod developers and expanding the litigation policy, now it targets Remedy Entertainment. The company object to the use of the R letter in the new logo of Remedy was the latest discussion in the industry.
Take-Two, Due to the New Logo to Remedy Entertainment, Case Opened
Take-Two claims that Remedy will create confusion between players and mix with Rockstar Games logo. Although this is considered absurd by many people, Take-Two has similar actions in the past. For example, Hazelight Studios tried to open the case for games called “It Takes Two”, but this attempt failed with the release of this game in 2021.
Remedy’s new logo on April 2023 is wondering how Take-Two responds to this move. Does the company change the logo on behalf of avoiding legal problems, or it is likely to enter a legal battle, which is not yet uncertain.
Take-Two’s tendency to open the case is not only limited to this event. The company sent the order to stop artificial intelligence-supported GTA 5 story mode in August 2023 and brought the end of the Grand Theft Auto IV Definitive Edition Mod in September 2022. In addition, Grand Theft Auto 3 and GTA Vice City’s reverse engineering group and Fivem’s creator were also targeted. Interestingly, Take-Two is trying to gain financial earnings from Rockstar projects by purchasing the team behind Rockstar.
The result of this discussion is expected to wonder. This situation does not affect the future projects of Remedy.
