Jason Schreier was right once again, and Nintendo postponed The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 until spring 2023. “Since Nintendo said in its press release that BOTW2 is aiming for 2022, the game’s release date is 2023,” Schreier tweeted on June 15, 2021:)
“We announced that we are aiming for 2022 for the game. However, we decided to extend our development period a little longer and change the release date to spring 2023. We apologize to everyone who looks forward to the game coming out this year.”
“As we have already announced, the adventure in this sequel will take place not only on the ground as in the previous game, but also in the sky this time. But this extended world goes beyond that, and there will be many more features you’ll love, including new matches and new gameplay elements. We work relentlessly as the entire development team to make the experience of the game special, so please wait a little longer,” says Aonuma.
Nintendo announced Breath of the Wild 2 in June 2019.
