Former CD Projekt veterans have set up a game studio to work on a new “AAA Dark Fantasy World Role-Playing Game”. The studio, which is directed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who directed Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, has been named Rebel Wolves. The location of the studio was chosen as Warsaw, Poland.
Former CD Projekt veterans don’t seem happy with the development process of Cyberpunk 2077
Rebel Wolves‘ press release includes some phrases that evoke the working culture in their former studio and the sense that Cyberpunk is a reference to the development process. “Rebel Wolves’ team will always, always put their thoughts first, and happy developers can put on great games,” the announcement said.
Konrad Tomaszkiewicz will take over as CEO of the studio, while the director will be the director of their first play. There is no other information other than the type of game the company is working on and one concept image.
Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said he was very happy to work in a studio where people who believed it was their destiny to make video games as Rebel Wolves came together. “When we make games, we want to make games that we want to play ourselves, and that’s exactly what the RPG game is on right now,” Tomaszkiewicz said.
