Microsoft has announced that it is working with TV manufacturers to include the Xbox Game Pass app on smart TVs. Liz Hamren, who works in game experience development, said, “We’re working with global TV manufacturers to bring the Game Pass experience to TVs connected to the internet. All you have to have outside of TV will be a controller.”
So far, there has been no progress in bringing the Game Pass service to TVs. However, GamesBeat reported that Microsoft plans to release its Xbox Cloud Gaming service on TVs within the next 12 months.
The working system of the Xbox Cloud Gaming service on TVs was also announced. Accordingly, a game library will be accessible through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. We will also have access to movies and TV services.
Microsoft and Samsung, meanwhile, have formed a direct partnership. In this context, it is also mentioned that they are working together to add the Xbox app to their Samsung smart TVs. This is expected to be published in the next 12 months.
