Logitech is a brand that has managed to bring a large number of gaming equipment to the status of “legend” in the last two decades. With their G15, G500, MX518, G25, Wingman Force 3D and many more products, they have managed to fill the phrase “product of life” with full value by being guests in the homes of gamers for years.
And that’s not all. Many of Logitech’s launches are so successful that they are renewed over time, without literally giving way to new models. The G502 Lightspeed and G403 Hero are examples. The product we’ll be reviewing in these pages is the most special, the rarest object of desire of all: the G303 Shroud Edition, which carries the legendary G302-G303 into the future with Shroud’s touch.
Design
Logitech’s G302 was a favorite of gamers who preferred claw grip . It was so successful that it met us again as G303 with some important changes over time. Now, almost seven years later, we are joined by a reincarnation of G303 that reminds us why it doesn’t age. The G303 Shroud Edition is a wireless product and comes with some important changes in terms of design, while it has managed to maintain its main lines to a great extent.
The first noticeable change is the dimensions. Reworked by Shroud to suit its tastes, the cheeks are wider than the standard G303 Daedalus Apex and slightly longer in length (117x70x40mm). The further enlargement of the cheeks and the high waist are perfect for claw-loving gamers and big-handed gamers who prefer the fingertip grip. Of course, I have to make a warning at this point: If you prefer a palm grip, this mouse is definitely not made for you, no matter the size of your hand. Instead of the G303 Shroud Edition, you can look at the G PRO X Superlight, for example.

Another noticeable change in the design is that the RGB areas on the sides of the product have been replaced by transparent, high-quality impression side panels. The only RGB zone on the mouse is the battery level warning LED between the two main buttons.
You remember the plastic used in the case from the G PRO X Superlight before. It is a very high-quality material and has a rather pleasant touch and grip feeling. Unfortunately, the places where your fingers touch are again suitable for slightly abrasion and glow in a short time. It may not bother you, but if you’re someone like me who wipes and cleans the mouse every day, you may not want to see a flash on the mouse.
The bottom of the product has undergone a major change. Here you have a button with which you can turn the mouse on and off and huge PTFE skatezes. Logitech says these skatezs are unadulterated PTFEs. To me, the feeling of gliding is good, but not great. The break-in period of skates is a little long, so when it wears off a little, the feeling of gliding gets better.
Finally, the product carries the 2.4Ghz receiver in the well-hidden drawer on the back. The G303 SE is generally quite rigid, with the only sound that comes from shaking it in this receiver drawer, and that’s a very small amount. Other than that, there is no clicking or sponge sensation on either the main keys or the function keys. I like the Omron 20M switches, but there will be those who are definitely upset about “why didn’t Kailh 8.0 be used?” After all, Logitech has known and trusted it for years, and I think the result is very good. Like I said, I have no problem with the Omron 20M’s.
Technical Details
Underneath Logitech’s sleek and aggressive chassis lies the familiar HERO 25K sensor. Supporting up to 25600dpi (minimum 100dpi), meeting all performance expectations with 400 IPS speed and 40G acceleration, the mouse has a polling rate of 1000Hz . As I said earlier in the Mad Catz review, the only thing that the 8K polling rate, which we see more often these days, will bring you is unnecessary contraction of your system, there is no way you can feel the difference.
So how is the connection performance? Logitech’s Lightspeed technology has managed to connect the mouse to your computer at a perfect speed. With up to 145 hours of battery life, you won’t see much of the cable, but the 10ms click lag is best-in-class. The partnership between G303 SE and Lightspeed, which has managed to produce value equal to GPX.
Moreover, the battery resistance of 145 hours in continuous motion is an outstanding value. It burns both fast and little!
The G303 SE has been significantly lightened while being overhauled. Its weight of 75 grams is enough for us to easily include it in the ultralight class. Of course, with the smaller battery, there will be modders who will try to make it even lighter by modifying the case, etc.
Result
G303 Shroud Edition is a collectible, rare mouse, it is a little difficult to find in the market, even if you find it, the reflection of the $ 130 price abroad will be salty in our country. On the other hand, if you prefer claw grip, if you are looking for a mouse that won’t bother you with charging when working with near-wireless latency close to zero, G303 Shroud Edition is a great choice. Unlike G PRO X Superlight, it does not appeal to everyone, do not pursue it without reading it thoroughly.

NOTE: 92
+Very stylish and very performant. A limited edition product. There’s nothing better for Claw grip. Lightspeed technology. Long battery endurance.
-Expensive. Body texture is amenable to shine. Not suitable for every grip.
