One of the most difficult hardware reviews of my entire writing career was the Pu94 review.
Why, because I think people who try new things make life better and they need to be encouraged. On the other hand, in my reviews, I try to be clear about exactly what people should expect from that product or game, and that’s why, this is a difficult article.
Dual joystick mouse
When I was doing Lexip’s Np93 Alpha review, I told you about its bigger and crazier brother, the Pu94. Pu94, which started its life as a Kickstarter project with a target of 25,000 euros and successfully jumped this process by receiving 430,000 euros support from more than 3800 supporters, did what it said in a short time and quickly went into mass production. While not the world’s first joystick mouse, the Pu94 is the first 3D and dual-joystick mouse, aiming to enliven your gaming experiences simply by having both a mouse and a joystick at your fingertips.
The Pu94 is truly a kind of unique product.
You’ll remember I told you about a memory in the Death Stranding: Director’s Cut review. “When I was young, my favorite engineer was Gordon Murray,” a professor I loved in college said, adding, “But some of his ideas had to be thrown away.”
If Gordon Murray had designed a gaming mouse, he would probably have come up with something so revolutionary, so innovative, and so beautiful, but whether that would have made it one of his “good” ideas, let’s take a look.
Design
I don’t want to have a question mark in your mind about something. The Lexip Pu94 is an extremely high quality and ” niche” mouse. You feel it every second, from the design of the box to its contents, to the first moment you pick up the mouse.
The product, which comes with a huge box, has medium dimensions (119x51x25mm). A soft coating is used on the top and gives a fairly high-quality impression, on the other hand, a lot of fingerprints remain. On the sides, a rubber with a very good grip is used. In general, the mouse is quite ergonomic and suitable for all grip styles. Unfortunately, if your hand is not large, you may have difficulty reaching the joystick on the left side. Lexip used Huano switches on this model, but I couldn’t confirm which model it was. They are quiet, the feeling is good.
What Lexip said, this mouse is especially suitable for simulation enthusiasts . It eventually fell into the hands of a player like me who dedicated his life to games like Flight Simulator and DCS.
You know that you need a joystick set to do justice to the flight simulations. Nowadays, for example, buying a Logitech X56 would cost more than 5000 TL in your budget and the gamepads were incapable of doing this job, so what the Pu94 had to offer was important to me. Not all games support these joystick axes, of course, but Flight Simulator , for example, won’t give you any problems.
It is actually more accurate to present what I am going to tell here in video, but let me do my best. The mouse has two main bodies, the ground and the upper part, and the upper body can lie up to 30 degrees in all directions, regardless of the lower part. This allows you to manage flight controls via the analog stick on the left or by using the moving main fuselage in the palm of your hand. For example, you can define the message back tilt part to the pitch movement and the right left tilt part to the roll movement. So how is the result? That is, it varies from person to person. I still think that the joystick is the peripheral that should be preferred, but when you compare it with an ordinary mouse, the feeling of control it gives “as long as you fly” is much more successful, much more satisfying. Still, I can’t say, “Shelve the joysticks, that’s the thing.”
I’ve crossed out the “as long as you’re flying” part, and you’ve probably noticed. The reason is that we are not a generation that is used to having a playful mouse body at our disposal, it seems strange. Especially when you choose a text in an article, you are constantly choosing a little too little, let me say with my own experience, even after two months of continuous use, I have not managed to get comfortable in daily work.
I wish Lexip would also develop a locking mechanism that would lock and stabilize the top and bottom, and make the mouse fit into everyday life, then the functionality of the mouse would skip a class.
Technical
Let’s move on to the technical part. Lexip used a laser sensor in this model. Yes, the last time I tested a mouse with a laser sensor, it was the Razer Lancehead Wireless review from six years ago. The ADNS-9800 laser sensor used in this model is powerful enough to meet a gamer’s expectations. It supports up to 12000dpi, has 150IPS speed and 30G acceleration. This is above the required level (100IPS / 20G) in my opinion to avoid spinning the mouse for FPS games. Not bad at all.
Unlike the Np93 Alpha, Lexip did not use additional weights. The mouse weighs 141 grams , yes it is quite heavy and is not suitable for games such as FPS. However, the ceramic skatezes that Lexip uses (is that how it is now?) have a terrific slip feel, when the rubber part under the mouse is not rubbing against your mouse pad. I don’t know if it’s specific to my mouse, but the plastic burrs on the back right were creating a lot of drag, so I had to talk about my modeling experience. This was a labor problem that would not be expected from a mouse of this price and quality. In addition, the detachable (Micro USB) braided cable is extremely hard and attaches everywhere imaginable. I think Lexip should prioritize this issue, this product deserves a nice and lightweight paracord-like cable.
The product also has software support and the latest version is quite stable, free of problems. From here, you can customize DPI, macro and key without any problems.
All in all, Pu94 is a difficult product. It does not appeal to those who love competitive games, it is too expensive for casual players who will also play games between jobs, and it aims to be an “object of desire that is not in the neighbor” for simulation enthusiasts. The price of Lexip Pu94 including cargo and customs duties is around 1330 TL . We have a product that is extremely innovative, high quality but has its own pros and cons, I tried to explain it thoroughly. The decision is yours as always.

POINTS: 80
+A highly innovative product. High quality. Ceramic skatezs.
-It is very difficult to be comfortable in daily use. Sensor performance is mediocre. The cable is too hard. There are some labor problems.
