On the 14th day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, aid continues to pour into the region from the gaming world. While many producers have invested directly in charities, many important figures in the gaming world have launched their own fundraisers. One of these campaigns came from the indie gaming platform Itch.io.
We shared with you this campaign of Itch.io in the early hours of yesterday morning. The Ukrainian package, where you can buy close to 1,000 games for just $10, surpassed its $1 million goal in less than 24 hours. Package sales totaled $1.6 million.
A total of 110,579 Ukrainian aid packages were sold in less than 24 hours, itch.io reported. The average purchase price was around $14.63, with the highest selling figure being $1,694.20. All proceeds will go to charities trying to offer hope in the war zone.
