Game designer, director and writer Hideo Kojima, known for plays such as Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding, has stated that he wants to expand into other areas of entertainment, such as film and music. In an interview with the Anan Awards in Japan (translated by Video Games Chronicle), Kojima said: “All areas are interconnected in digital work. That’s why I want to move from games to fields like film and music – I want to do studies.”
Hideo Kojima doesn’t want to be limited to games
Hideo Kojima, owner of Kojima Productions, wants to give a new direction to the entertainment industry and is expanding his work in this context. It is not only limited to games, but also wants to turn to other entertainment areas such as music, movies and series.
Kojima Productions, on the other hand, is currently developing a new game. In the past period, it was announced that American actress Elle Fanning and Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna, known for her role as Haru/Harumi in 125 Years Memory and Yukio in Deadpool 2, will take part in this new play by Kojima Productions.
Kojima says the new game will reflect a different style. Kojima also says that if this game is successful, things will turn around not only in the gaming industry, but also in the film industry.
