Ghost of Tsushima was undoubtedly one of the best games of the past year. In October, a pleasant surprise came from the production team, adding a multiplayer mode called Legends to the game. Now they are preparing to offer this mode independently of the main game.
As you know, Legends was offered free of charge to Ghost of Tsushima owners. Those who already have the game will still be able to access it for free if they wish. But those who want to play Legends without purchasing the main game will also be able to purchase this mode independently of the main game from August 20th. There is a slight change in content, which is that some cosmetics that you can play and open in single-player scenario mode are not included in this ‘standalone’ version. Apart from that, everything is in common, with players who have the main game, only those who have purchased this version will be able to play together if they wish. After receiving this mode, you will also be offered the possibility to update to director’s cut version.
In addition, a new mode is being added to Legends; In Rivals mode, 2 teams of 2 are battling wave after wave enemies, collecting Magatama as they defeat these enemies, and then using them to sabotage the opponent and harm the opponent. The first to reach the Final Stand stage and the first to complete this stage wins the game. This mode will also meet gamers from September 3rd. Again, those who have the main game will be able to play it for free, the alternative is to buy Legends, as you can imagine.
The announcement, posted on the PlayStation Blog, also states that new content will be added every week from September 10th to October 1st. Therefore, with Director’s Cut, we can say that a new movement is beginning on the Ghost of Tsushima front, announced to those who cannot feed the hunger of samurai 🙂
