Square Enix has announced that its free-to-play battle royale game, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, will be retired at 11:00 a.m. ET on January 11, 2023. Shinra Credits have been removed from the in-game store starting today, but the remaining Shinra Credits can be used until service ends.
The team said: “We wanted to bring you fresh and exciting new content. However, we have made great efforts to provide regular updates. Despite this, we could not provide the experience we hoped for and that you all deserve. That’s why we made the extremely difficult decision to end service for Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. We want to thank you all for supporting us during this time.”
Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier was released on November 17, 2021 for iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play.
