Elden Ring, who won the “most anticipated game of the year” award at The Game Awards for two years in a row, continues to prove at every turn that the hype he created in the players before the release was not in the words. It’s not yet clear exactly how many the game sells on PC; steamspy data shows the sales range is between 10 and 20 million. But more important than that is the number of simultaneous players in the game.
Elden Ring has exactly 952,523 players, the highest number of simultaneous players ever created by a single-player game broken by Cyberpunk 2077. Of course, Elden Ring has multiplayer parts, as in other From Software games, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a one-man story game.
Already, when we look at the top 10 in simultaneous player counts, there are only two single-player games on the list, Cyberpunk 2077 and Elden Ring. Cyberpunk 2077 had a simultaneous gaming peak of 1,054,388, according to SteamSpy data. SteamCharts claims 830,387 for Cyberpunk 2077.
Elden Ring is currently 6th on the list, behind Cyberpunk 2077. The top four games are:
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS – 3,236,027 (January 2018)
Lost Ark – 1,324,761 (February 2022)
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – 1,305,714 (April 2020)
Dota 2 – 1,291,328 (March 2016)
