The long-talked-about Dead Space Remake allegations became official with EA Play Live, which aired last week, and we learned that the remake was on the way. Then information about the game was shared. One of this information is about additional content that will be included in the game.
Motivated Studios, which is in charge of the remake, not only renewed and updated Dead Space, but also included some content extracted from the original game.
Roman Campos-Oriola, the game’s creative director, told IGN that when they started working with the original sources of the game, they saw that some of the department’s designs had been changed later, and that they understood that this was due to technical limitations at the time, but that there was now the possibility to redesign and use these sections in the game, and so did they. Some sections are also planned that allow to use some of the mechanics used in subsequent games in the first game.
They have taken over not only the department designs, but also the story of the game. Rather than changing the story, it’s about improving it by taking advantage of what’s being told in the next two games, so that they aim to strengthen the bond between the three games.
It is also understood that we have a long time ahead of us to see the extent to which all this has been implemented; From the information shared so far, it turns out that they are still in the early stages of the development process. Let’s just say it’s late, no power.
