Ironmace hopes to call the community of the game to identify players who are deliberately cheating to disrupt the fun of players. Although improvements are made in the anti-hile system with an update published in the previous months, this is still influenced by trickers.
Dark and Darker developer Ironmace seeks help from the community against cheaters
Dark and Darker, published as demo before this year by Ironmace, attracted the attention of players with stunning aesthetics and PVP gameplay. However, the unique structure, which offers Dark and Darker’s removal-based gameplay in a style of Dungeons & Dragons, caused fraud problems.
South Korean gaming giant Nexon had previously employed some members of the Ironmace team and claimed Nexon used assets from P3, which was developed by Dark and Darker. This legal dispute caused Dark and Darker to remove this year from Steam. But Ironmace hopes to bring the game back to Steam in the future digital store of Valve.
Team began to fight against cheaters
While Dark and Darker is currently in early access, players who have exceeding the challenges they need to get the game complain of attacking online tricks. Ironmace wants the help of the community to prevent cheaters from disrupting the online experience of the game. As reported by
PCGamesN, Ironmace calls players in Dark and Darker Discord to send suspicious tricks images and usernames. Ironmace created a private Discord account to process cheat reports and provides players a space where suspicious tricks can send videos.
One of the thought to cheat on Dark and Darker is instructed players to send videos to Ironshield Support account on Discord server. Instead of other Ironmace staff for 30 days, players only need to take messages into this account, and only when they have a suspicious tricker’s video, they are instructed to send messages to Ironshield Support. Although this effort will not be successful in fighting fraud in Dark and Darker, it seems clear that Ironmace did his best to solve the problem.
