Call of Duty games will be added to the Gamepass library from day one. Phill Spencer announced today that when Microsoft’s Activision-Blizzard acquisition is completed, big games such as Overwatch and Diablo, especially Call of Duty, will come to Gamepass on the day they are released to Playstation. Spencer reiterated that their goal is to have a “game for everyone, anywhere.”

Spencer stressed that Call of Duty, Overwatch and Diablo will come to Gamepass, but they will also come to Playstation. So Acti-Blizz games won’t be exclusive to Xbox. Spencer stressed that Gamepass’ goal is to “get games to as many people as possible.” The last controversial game in this regard was the addition of Death Stranding to Gamepass.
Here are the details of Spencer’s statement:
“We want to grow the communities of Activision-Blizzard’s beloved games – Overwatch, Diablo, Call of Duty – by bringing them to Game Pass. We want to make Gamepass even bigger and take it wherever possible, including mobile devices.
No exact date has been given for when Activision-Blizzard games will arrive on Gamepass. However, Spencer said in an earlier statement that the acquisition was progressing well despite the claims circulating. Overwatch 2 and Modern Warfare 2 are likely to be released before this purchase. However, Diablo 4 may be one of the games that came to Gamepass from the first day in this case.
