PlayStation 5 comes with 2K resolution support
Sony, which says it has been intensifying user feedback since the console came out, says it is working every day to make possible the new content that the community wants. After the upcoming new software update for the PlayStation 5 console, 1440P support and game listing will now be available.
This update, which is currently in beta, is being developed in collaboration with invited users from certain regions. PlayStation 5 2K support will be available to players later this year, according to the announcement. If you were selected for the beta, you will be contacted by e-mail.
With the new update, PS5 will feature 1440P HDMI video output. This will allow you to use the console resolution as 1440P on compatible PC monitors or televisions. At the same time, if the game you are playing supports it, you will be able to run the game in native 1440P. In addition, players will now be able to create game lists in their library. This new feature, announced for organizing your games, basically works the same way Steam does on PC. By creating and naming game lists, you can create collections. You’ll be able to add up to 100 games per list, while creating a total of 15 game lists.
Among the new social features, you’ll now be able to send a “Screen sharing request” to your friends you’re in the same group asking them to broadcast their gameplay to you. If your friends are playing a game that you can join, PlayStation 5 will send you a notification.
PlayStation 5 2K resolution support and many other innovations will come to your consoles with updates in the coming period. Especially for 1440P HDMI support, we have to wait a little longer.
