It is stated that the new game of the Assassin’s Creed series, which will be developed and published by Ubisoft, will be called Mirage and will debut in 2023. According to information published by YouTuber j0nathan, the game will be released in the spring of next year and will take the series back to its basics. Some of the published information was also confirmed by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
Bloomberg first reported in February that Ubisoft plans to release a smaller-scale, privacy-focused Assassin’s Creed game. This game is expected to be released before the officially announced Assassin’s Creed Infinity, developed with Ubisoft Quebec (Odyssey) and Ubisoft Montreal (Origins and Valhalla).
While previous games in the series are based on specific historical periods, Infinity will reportedly include multiple stories and times. In addition, it will be a platform for future Assassin’s Creed games.
Schreier said of the game last year: “While each of the previous Assassin’s Creed games originated in specific historical settings, such as ancient Greece or Egypt, Infinity will include multiple environments. The individual games on the platform will look and feel different, but they will all stay connected.”
A person familiar tells me parts of this new Assassin’s Creed leak are true (such as the name and the other stuff Bloomberg has already reported: spring 23, Baghdad, back to AC basics) and other parts are not (“multiple cities to explore”) https://t.co/qmM6UZtKnG
