Japanese developer Thirdverse has announced that it will release the first-person shooter virtual reality game X8 for the PlayStation VR2 title. The X8 was previously only announced for PC (Steam) and Quest (Oculus Store). The PSVR2 version is being developed by the San Francisco studio.
X8 invites players to team battles
In X8, players will be thrown into a new challenge using a variety of abilities and unique weapons. There will be many heroes in the game and each hero will have access to three skill levels These skill levels will include Instant, Basic and Ultimate.
Each character will have their own advantages and skills. Heroes will be able to use their own unique weapons, armor and items. Before the start of each battle, players will be able to gain a variety of abilities and customize their hero’s equipment. In the next rounds, additional existing weapons can be purchased.
In X8, players will be divided into two teams (five by five) and will feature an offensive and defensive side. The attacking side will deploy an explosion device called The Extrapolator, while defenders will try to destroy this bomb. The two teams will play up to 16 rounds in total.
