Thanks to games like Overwatch, the arena shooter genre has become very popular. The eSports scene has been on the rise thanks to such games. Unlike the multiplayer shooter genre like Call of Duty or Battlefield, these games require more strategy. They have limited game modes in this genre, but what makes them attractive is the way they play. Goal-based modes make these games very innovative because they feel different every time.
Additionally, free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter Gundam Evolution was released for PC via Steam on September 21 by publisher Bandai Namco and developer Bandai Namco Online. However, the publisher announced that it will debut on November 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The latest game in this genre, Gundam Evolution, brings players into Gundam teams, just like the system in Overwatch. This makes the game at the highest level and a lot of fun. Gundam Evolution was highly appreciated by the players. It may even take the 2nd place in the free shooter category soon. While there are similarities between Gundam Evolution and Overwatch games, the mechanical add-ons make the game feel different. In this article, we will share 5 Tips for Beginners to Gundam Evolution Game. Here is our list:
1) Get Character for Every Fashion
This rule applies to all types of multiplayer shooters. Because not every character can adapt to every mode. Players must buy the fashionable Gundams. Don’t forget to play with the other Gundams on offer. If players use a Gundam that is good at attacking, they can help the team take the target faster. By the way, if players choose what is good on defense, it will be easier to maintain your own position.
Gundam Evolution encourages players to adapt to different playstyles. Because the course of the match can change in a second and force players to play in a different strategy. For example, if a player is driving a tank, he can help his team and depending on the Gundam tank, the difficulty level of the match may vary. Choosing a suitable Gundam can help the player and the team at the same time.
2) Keep in Touch with the Team
Being able to pass on important information to your team can make Gundam Evolution even more immersive. When team members talk to each other, everyone can agree, which makes the match easier. This way, players can always find out what’s going on.
Gundam Evolution has the same communication features that Overwatch has. Players don’t have to talk, they can just use that area to notify the group or to signal a spot that each member can see. This makes communication even more robust.
Gundam Evolution gives players the choice to communicate with the team even if each player doesn’t have a microphone. This makes it easy for players to see what’s going on.
3) Use All Gundams (Characters)
As mentioned earlier in this list, different maps require different Gundams, and proper use can make a huge difference. If players master all the game mechanics of the Gundams, the more they can help the team. Use as many different Gundams as possible to master all the Gundams. Thus, you can predict the actions that the opposing opponent may take.
Also, very similar to other Gundam games like SD Gundam Battle Alliance, each team has an ultimate ability. And just like in that game, it helps players to know how all the final points work. Using them incorrectly can lead to a chain of bad incidents and force the team to lose.
4) Learn Maps
Once players know all the maps, things get much easier. Although there aren’t many maps in the game at the moment, players can still make the most of them depending on the mode. When attacked, players can use this information to sneak past enemies and help their team win easily. The better you know the map, the more the strategies you will make can upset the opponent. On top of that, there are plenty of Gundam that are easy to play in Gundam Evolution, which makes it easy to navigate the map. Just like in Overwatch, where there are tons of easy-to-learn heroes, they will help players understand the maps in the game.
When players memorize maps and head towards any place that gives them an advantage, they can defeat the enemy team. Thus, they are not defeated very quickly and are not easily killed.
5) Use Shields
This tip is very important, but it is only suitable for characters who can use shields. Not every Gundam has shields, which can make it a little easier to destroy them. With players using the shield, the battle in Gundam Evolution becomes a little more fun and more aggressive. The normal Gundam, already unlocked, has a shield; however, this is a skill. Since the cool-down time is a bit long, players must strategize when using it. When players activate their shields at the right time, they can comfortably threaten the opposing team.
Unlike the Gundam costume, GM and Sazabi both have shields that can be used at all times. They also don’t have cool-down times because they don’t have talent. Once their shields are destroyed, players can retreat for a few seconds, wait for it to recharge, and return to battle.
In this way, they can fight more comfortably and thanks to the shield, they can keep the enemy away.

Gundam: The Federation, which follows the Principality of Zeon in mobile suit development, developed this machine as part of Operation V to change course. It has outstanding performance.
-PALE RIDER: A character developed by the World Federation Forces. The unique HADES operating system provides superior combat performance, but puts more strain on the pilot and the runtime is limited.
