In the final match between Gambit Esports and Acend, the winner was the Acend team with a score of 3-2. Mehmet Yağz “cNed” Ipek, who performed strongly throughout VCT, gave Turkey great pride with this success.
CNed, who has had several successes with the Acend team since March, registered his talent in the eyes of all by taking the title of first VALORANT World Champion. The young player, who gave a national pride, showed the world that Turkey is also in the global events.
Sixteen teams from North America, South America, Europe and Asia qualified for the event and competed for the title of first VALORANT World Champion. More than 80 players have landed in Berlin over the past two weeks to compete in the group and qualifying stages. In addition to the $1 million prize pool, the 16 teams eligible to participate in the tournament received half of the net revenue from package sales that came out exclusively for VALORANT Champions. With more than $7.5 million, each team eligible to participate in the tournament also received approximately $500,000.
The Champions were the last event of the VALORANT Champions Tour, which began last January. During the season, more than 10,000 teams tried to participate in the final event during regional Challenger events and international Masters events. The next season of the VALORANT Champions Tour will begin in February and will include the return of international competitions, a new series of tournaments in the off-season and a new global Game Changers event that will showcase the best women’s teams from around the world.
