Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, the mobile version of Diablo Immortal reportedly generated over $100 million in revenue in eight weeks. This production, which previously included in-game payments, became a target of negative criticism and was given very low scores on Metacritic.
According to data released Thursday by mobile market firm Sensor Tower, Diablo Immortal continues to win despite criticism. Blizzard reported on July 23 that Diablo Immortal has been downloaded more than 20 million times.
Diablo Immortal made the most money in the United States, followed by South Korea and Japan. According to Sensor Tower, Diablo Immortal was the most downloaded app on the App Store in its first two days in China. Diablo Immortal became the third highest-grossing game in China on July 25. Then, on July 26, it reached the second-highest revenue production level.
Pokémon Go, on the other hand, took two weeks to earn $100 million. Fire Emblem Heroes reached this figure in 10 weeks.
