Gaming giant Tencent has acquired Back 4 Blood developer Turtle Rock.
The studio, which also developed Evolve and Left 4 Dead, was acquired along with its parent company Slamfire Inc. The cost of the purchase was not disclosed.
Tencent said the team will continue independently, led by studio co-founders Phil Robb and Chris Ashton.
Turtle Rock released Back 4 Blood for PC and consoles in partnership with Warner Bros in October. The game was also released on Xbox Game Pass.
“We all look forward to joining the Tencent studio family,” said Steve Goldstein, president and chief executive officer of Turtle Rock.
