Valorant developer Riot Games has announced that it will open a new studio in Shanghai, China.
The company said the new team will focus on developing new IPs. In addition, the new office will expand its existing IP globally.
Leo Lin, vice president of Riot Games and president of China, told CNBC that the company is committed to delivering its games to players wherever they are.
“In Riot Games, we think about the player first. We have many passionate players for League of Legends and Riot games in China.”
Recently, Riot Games’ mobile games have generated over $100 million in player revenue to date.
