IO Interactive announced on its July roadmap that Hitman 3’s new map, Ambrose Island, will be available as a free DLC (Additional pack) to all players on July 26. This content is the first new map since the game’s release.
According to the trailer, Ambrose Island is a tropical island ruled by a rebel group. IO Interactive states that there will be a lot of content on the new map. This island features a dangerous gang of pirates operating in the Andaman Sea, a bay home to many secrets, and a fully explorable territory. It also packs new objectives, challenges, and rewards to unlock.
IO Interactive, on the other hand, announced in May that a mode called Freelancer would be coming. However, this mode could not be released at the desired time. To make up for this, the team moved forward the release date of the Ambrose Island map. The new mode is scheduled to be released in the second half of this year. The Freelancer mode will add a variety of missions to the game and allow Agent 47 to customize his new safe house.
