Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force announced that Dynasty Warriors 9 Empire will debut for PC on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam on February 25, 2022. The PlayStation 5 version will be a digital version only. However, users who physically purchase the PlayStation 4 version will receive a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version.
Combining Dynasty Warriors’ 1 vs. 1000 action with strategic elements, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires invites players to conquer ancient China with both sword and strategy.
The previous game, Dynasty Warriors, brought the open world to the open world for the first time in nine series. Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will not be an open world and will stick to its traditional strategy structure.
