It’s been almost three weeks since Diablo 2 Resurrected came out, but Blizzard still hasn’t been able to fully resolve the server issues in the game. Blizzard put the servers in “emergency care” over the weekend, but even that wasn’t enough to solve the problems.
Especially during peak player traffic hours, the game can be completely disconnected. In fact, as a result of a recent server error, the online characters appeared to have been deleted, and then the problem was solved, but most characters lost 2-3 levels because of a revert to an old backup.
Blizzard has repeatedly issued statements saying “we are trying to resolve connectivity issues as quickly as possible, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the ruptures”, but has not been able to fix the problem.
Finally, they said in a statement that they are aware of the problems some players are experiencing at Diablo 2 Resurrected, implementing urgent maintenance on all platforms and closely monitoring server performance, while continuing short- and long-term work to stabilize the Diablo 2 Resurrected experience for all players around the world.
Diablo is such a game that of course people want to play all the time and naturally get angry when they can’t connect to the servers. If that’s the case with Diablo 2 Resurrected, I can’t imagine what’s going to happen when Diablo 4 comes out.
