When we talk about rally games, I think a lot of gamers think of the Dirt series. Following EA’s acquisition of Codemasters, some expressed concern about the future of the series, but dirt 5, the last game in the series, did not receive much bad reviews, it averaged well. But Codemasters, of course, have no intention of stopping at this point.
A job advertfor Codemasters’ studio in Cheshire says the studio, which offers dirt 5, a “well-welcomed racing experience on the next generation of consoles,” is looking for a producer for its next project, which is “a project that is destitute to be Codemasters’ most ambitious and biggest game in a decade.”
When EA got involved, he might have been relieved about the resource. But we don’t know if there is a similar comfort to the administration. Yet they seem excited and ambitious for their next game, which is a good thing, of course, at least giving hope for the future. EA gave the example of Respawn when buying Codemasters and was told that codemasters would be offered a free working environment as well as for that studio, and that their creativity would not be restricted.
Let’s see if this project can repay that claim.
