BakenGangstA, the Destiny 2 creator and publisher with over 100,000 subscribers from YouTube, was permanently banned by Bungie for cheating on PvP.
BakenGangstA then posted a message on Twitter, relying heily on the number of followers, saying that it had been banned a second time without explanation, saying that it was a ridiculous job ; I want someone in Bungie to take a look at this; Said. “There’s no way you’re going to be banned while the cheaters keep playing for months,” he continued.
The response came from Bungie Community Manager Dylan Gafner. “We don’t give bans for no reason. Your team has confirmed this action more than once through our anti-fraud detection and investigations,” he said, linking to Bungie’s account restrictions and ban policy page. So far, everything’s normal.
However, when bakenGangstA refused to accept the situation and tried to get on top saying “I want to see what I might have done that resulted in this ban, because it’s complete nonsense”, Gafner received the kind of final response we’re not used to seeing:
“I have checked this incident three times with our security team. We found that you used cheat programs when playing Destiny 2 on 2 different accounts you owned, and we banned a total of 4 accounts. We’re not going to have any more communication with you about this.”
I suggest you watch the hilarious video shared by Elliott Gray, one of Bungie’s UI/UX designers, 🙂
