With the 40 GB Baldur’s Gate 3 update, the last update of Baldur’s Gate’s early access phasewill arrive. Before the next update to the game, which will increase its total size to 104 GB, the game’s producer Larian Studios strongly recommends that players in the Patch 6 or Patch 7 version download the Patch 8 update.
The 40GB Baldur’s Gate 3 update will be the game’s last update in early access
Larian Studios has revealed the details of the update as follows:
“The upcoming Patch 8 is around 40 GB (make sure you have enough space on your device!) and therefore the total size of Baldur’s Gate will increase to 104 GB. As with our previous updates, the save files you received in Patch 7 and earlier will be incompatible with this new update.”
Larian Studios also emphasized that with the Patch 8 update, Patch 1-5 content will no longer be available for download. The company says that Patch 6 and Patch 7 can be downloaded, but recommends players use the most up-to-date version. According to the company’s announcement, those who want to preserve the recording files in Patch 7 need to follow these steps:
-Right-click on the game in your Steam library
-Select “Properties”
-Click BETAS
– Select Patch 6 as the “Beta version you want to use”
-Close Properties
Larian Studios also recommends deleting all mods in the game before installing Patch 8.
