Valve announced in November 2021 that it was postponing the release of the Steam Deck to February 2022 due to global supply issues.
Valve reiterated in steam deck’s January post that the company will launch the Steam Deck next month and deliver it to users. The post stated: “First of all, we want to remove and ship the Steam Deck on time. Despite the global pandemic, supply and transport problems, we will launch at the end of February.”
Valve added: “In parallel, we are continuing various studies and testing for the Steam Deck. You’ll soon be able to see the Steam Deck confirmation icon in games on Steam. In this context, we check all four main categories: input, smoothness, screen and system support.”
Valve, on the other hand, allows developers to test their games for steam deck. Accordingly, it sends a large number of kits to developers.
