In June 2021, Microsoft stated that the DirectStorage API would be exclusive to Windows 11. However, according to new information, MS has announced that Windows 10 will also support DirectStorage.
“Microsoft wants to enable game developers to reach as many players as possible when they adopt a new API. For this reason, we inform you that games created with the DirectStorage SDK will be compatible with Windows 10, 1909 and later.”
